How We Approach Academics

For too long, the disciplines of academic theology have seemed to many to be divorced from the "real life" of the individual Christian and of the Church. That's not the case at Bexley Hall where we engage the Bible, the classical Christian texts and the evolving tradition with spiritual reflection on their meaning and relevance for today's Church.

We expect each member of the community to wrestle with the issues and questions that arise from the challenge of living faithfully to tradition in an ever-changing world.  Our ecumenical contexts help us to articulate our Anglican understandings of the Christian faith and to appreciate and honor the differing perspectives we encounter.
